Morgan Ræ is a four-time award-winning designer with over 25 years of experience, having worked on more than 100 projects across 13 countries and 13 U.S. states. He is the founder of L’eautelier, a marine-based design studio that operates at the intersection of hospitality, regenerative travel, and the blue economy.
Morgan’s journey into hospitality began humbly, doing odd jobs at a Midwestern motel where his mother worked. That early exposure sparked a deep and lasting curiosity about global lifestyles and human-centered spaces. Since then, he has immersed himself in nearly every facet of the hospitality industry, including leading design roles at studios such as AvroKO/Brand Bureau, restaurant criticism, cookbook authorship, and co-owning a small chain of plant-based restaurants in New York City.

A pioneer in cradle-to-cradle hospitality, Morgan is often sought out for his work in pop-up activations, artist residencies, plant-based concepts, hospitality Feng Shui, operational audits, and sustainable material sourcing. He has shared his perspectives through panels, podcasts, and publications, and had the honor of speaking at venues such as Soho House, 1 Hotels, Nômade, the 2022 UN Ocean Conference (Lisbon), the 2023 UN Water Conference (NYC), and Climate Week NYC 2024. In 2023, he was a National Finalist in Cape Verde’s Climate Launchpad Regional Finals for Casa Piña, a subaquatic, climate-adaptive living concept designed for Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
Today, through L’eautelier, Morgan is diving deeper into blue biotechnology, bringing his bespoke, responsible design ethos to projects across offices, retail, restaurants, co-living spaces, and seaweed start-ups. He holds a Master in Interior & Living Design from Domus Academy, a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from California, and a Certificate in the Science of Well-Being. His mission is to continue redefining what regenerative hospitality can look and feel like.
“Domus Academy taught me how to collaborate with the international design community which led to life-long friendships.
My education at Domus Academy encouraged me to solve problems as a designer and partner with brands to bring the solutions to life.”
