Diego Dolcini was born in Naples, he is based in Milan and travels a lot all over the world.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Politecnico University in Milan and in 1990 he gained a scholarship for Master in Fashion Design at Domus Academy in Milan.
Diego began designing footwear thanks to important collaborations with fashion brands, and in 1994 he founded his own brand Diego Dolcini, achieving immediate success and starting to distribute his creations in the best stores in the world.

Diego works with the most important fashion brands as Dolce&Gabbana, Casadei, Ermenegildo Zegna, Balmain, and many others. From 2001 to 2004 he was the Creative Director for Gucci Footwear. His creations were chosen by several movie and television stars as Rhianna, Madonna, Beyonce, Julia Roberts, and Chiara Ferragni.
Since he was a child, Diego has always been attracted to classical art with special attention to the curvature feet of greek statues. Architecture and art studies helped his manual skills and later devoted his life exclusively to decorating and creating shoes. His style fuses the best classic style with a sense of futuristic grace, designing shoes perfectly balanced between various heights, essential lines, and high-quality materials. Moreover, Diego designs a lot of types of shoes starting from a pump to a strappy rock sandal, offering a wide range of shoes for every occasion. Diego works only with the best craftsmen of Made in Italy thus reaching the maximum quality and form which are the signature of his creations and that have gained him a prominent position in the luxury market.
In 2019 he celebrated the 25th anniversary of his brand publishing “From heart to toe”, a biography in which he illustrates his creations and society from 1994 onward told from the shoes’ point of view.
Diego Dolcini’s shoes are masterpieces that have long been the essence of the footwear world. The perfect lines, dazzling textures, and hedonistic details, with the ergonomic details of his shoes, enhance the foot shape.
