Every year, Domus Academy alumni move on to professional roles in design studios, major corporations, and institutions. Many launch their own start-ups in their home countries and around the world, while others continue to collaborate with Domus Academy as project leaders and guest lecturers, contributing to a dynamic international community.
To better understand these career paths, a survey conducted by Doxa analysed the employability and early professional experiences of our recent graduates. The findings offer encouraging insights that align with both our academic vision and the rapidly evolving global job landscape.
According to the World Economic Forum, the demand for new skills is accelerating: AI adoption among companies has risen from 55% in 2022 to 88%, while demand for AI literacy has grown by 70% in just one year (2024–2025). Global macrotrends are expected to create 170 million new jobs and displace 92 million by 2030, increasing the need for professionals who combine creativity with advanced digital competencies.
In response to these transformations, Domus Academy integrates technology and innovation across all programmes. AI and emerging technologies are embedded into every area—from design to fashion to business—ensuring students develop the creative and technological fluency required by today’s industries. To further address the evolving professional landscape, Domus Academy also offers specialised programmes focused on future-oriented practice such as 2-Year Master in Design Innovation, Master in Design x AI and Master in Design Futures.
These programmes reinforce our commitment to preparing graduates who excel where creativity, technology, and innovation intersect.
Against this backdrop of rapid change, Domus Academy graduates stand out. The Doxa survey reports an employment rate of 91% within one year of graduation*, with most alumni securing a job within 100 days of completing their studies.
Graduates also report a job satisfaction rate of 94%, highlighting the strong alignment between academic preparation and professional expectations. From an investment perspective, the research indicates a payback period of 16–21 months, underscoring the long-term value of a Domus Academy education. The survey methodology combined Computer Assisted Web Interview (CAWI) and Computer Assisted Telephone Interview (CATI) techniques.
These results confirm Domus Academy’s unwavering commitment to supporting students both academically and professionally. Our alumni continue to make a significant impact within the organisations they join, emerging as leaders and innovators in their respective fields—exactly the kind of talent the global market increasingly seeks.
