Domus Academy at Bangkok Design Week
During the Bangkok design week, Domus Academy continues its mission to spread Italian Design around the world.
Francesco Sorrentino, Master in Business Design program leader, held the lecture “The Role of the Designer in the Contemporary Era” at LHONG 1919, an industrial archaeological site on the banks of the Chao Praya river that was recently inaugurated by Thailand Creative and Design Centre.
Francesco discussed with the public what is the actual role of the business designer, starting from the learning and teaching strategies of the Domus Academy Master in Business Design.
The Master in Business Design creates new connections between the worlds of business and design. Students will work on projects related to the business of design and the design of business. Enlightening and interdisciplinary, the Master focuses on how to apply design culture, methodology and sensitivity to a wide range of businesses, including established enterprises, large, medium and small, and start-ups.
During the one-year Master Program, students understand design-driven management strategies as they learn to draft plans for business development, branding, marketing, and communication for the whole company as well as for specific product lines and new ventures.
An interior design project conceived with irony, both in terms of the client’s personality and in terms of spaces.
