Originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, Hanina Sharafina is currently working as freelance Graphic Designer at VICE.
She earned her Bachelor’s in Visual Communication Design at Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2015. She won second prize in a scholarship competition to study at Domus Academy, where she earned her Master in Visual Brand Design in 2017. In her workshops, she collaborated with Fondazione Achille Castiglioni, L’Uomo Vogue, and Toscana Resort Castelfalfi. She continued to do freelance graphic design for clients back home.
After graduating, she landed an internship in graphic design at Landor Associates in Milan, where she worked on projects for Generali, Lavazza, and GEDI Gruppo Editoriale.
“Building a career in Milan had never been part of my plan until I took a chance on Domus Academy through the scholarship program. Studying abroad at Domus Academy was a life-changing experience. It got me to a place where I never knew I could be. I got my master’s degree, met inspiring people in the industry, and started my career in one of the most influential cities in the design world.”
