As part of the Digital Communication Workshop, students from the Master in Luxury Brand Management, Business Design and Visual Brand Design – Wei Chien Chen, Shubhankar Sengupta, Feiyu Li and Yuzi Pan – developed strategic and creative proposals for RM Sotheby’s. Their project focused on how digital communication and emerging technologies can shape the future of the classic and collectible car market.
The result is Cinema Sensual – a sensory communication campaign designed for RM Sotheby’s that addresses the challenge of enhancing the physical experience of collectible cars through digital mediation, culminating in a dedicated film festival. The project leverages 5D cinema technology to turn collectible cars and auctions into immersive, multisensory experiences.

Through an optichannel communication strategy, Cinema Sensual aims to inspire aspiration and trust among both existing and potential collectors. The campaign includes a digital media series featuring 50 iconic car stories from RM Sotheby’s 50-year history, immersive showrooms that highlight the sensory appeal of classic cars, a film festival celebrating the RM Sotheby’s community through user-generated content, and an auction of sensory NFTs and picture cars.
