Rossana Orlandi launched the 4th edition of the Ro Plastic Prize to challenge and inspire the design community to think differently about how objects are made. This edition is driven by the “reciprocibility” based on the ethical circular economy aimed at the perpetual development of design positivity and production.
Our students proposed Tik’It Up, a project focused on mask recycling, pollution on the beach and in the ocean. The aim of this project is to create awareness and push people to take real action.
Students designed a social media campaign at the beach to raise public awareness of the importance of mask recycling and push a good recycling habit. The project aims to inform, educate and share content about the travel of a tiki bar truck where people can exchange food and drinks with their used masks. This beach truck travels through polluted beaches in setting out to protect the environment and recycle masks. Tik’It Up is a project by Domus Academy, developed in collaboration with Zurich Connect and DDB Group Italy during the Product Strategy Workshop.
