Domus Academy is pleased to announce the upcoming talk “Timing is Everything” by Lee Moreau, taking place on 14th May at 5:30 PM CEST as part of the Disrupting Patterns Talk series.
Lee Moreau is the founding director of Other Tomorrows, a Boston-based design and strategy studio. With over two decades of experience, he has led service and experience design projects for global organisations including Southwest Airlines, BBVA, Google, P&G, Nike, Eli Lilly, Hilton, Kaiser-Permanente, Chili’s, Novartis, Jamba, and Lincoln Center. His work blurs the boundaries between content and experience, focusing on how design can shape the way we interact with the world.
Before founding Other Tomorrows in 2019, he served as Vice President of Design at EPAM Continuum, was Director of Environments at 2×4, and held design positions at IDEO and the Rockwell Group. In addition to his studio work, he is active in both academia and media—as Professor of the Practice in Design at Northeastern University’s College of Arts, Media, and Design, and as a contributor to the Design Observer podcast, where he explores the intersections of design, strategy, and innovation.
In this talk, Moreau will delve into the concept of timing as a defining factor in both service and experience design, as well as in everyday life and work. He considers timing to be a powerful influence not only on the structure of conversations and experiences but also on the way we navigate and make sense of the world around us.
In conversation with Elisa Chiodo, Programme Leader of the Master in Visual Brand Design, Master in Business Design and 2-Year Master in Design Leadership & Strategy, the talk will also touch on the role of platforms like the Lee Moreau’s podcast Design As and the value of cross-disciplinary dialogue in driving innovation.
