Students Work with Peck, the Milan Gastronomy “Temple”
Students from Domus Academy’s Master in Luxury Brand Management and Master in Business Design will be working with Peck, famed as one of Milan’s top gastronomic “temples” since 1883. Located in a three-story building just a few steps from the Duomo of Milan, Peck features a butchery, cold cuts shop, cheese maker, artisan pasta factory, delicatessen, pastry and gelato shop, wine cellar, and gourmet restaurant.
Leone Marzotto, Peck’s CEO, has challenged our students to envision a potential scenario for the company’s international development.
This Strategic Brand Management workshop is sure be a mouth-watering challenge of creative business development!
As background, students will examine the fact that the market segment of luxury gastronomy and food & beverages grew at a healthy 6% in 2017, the fastest growth rate across all luxury categories, according to the 16th edition of the “Bain Luxury Study,” published by Bain & Company for Fondazione Altagamma (the trade association of Italian luxury goods manufacturers). The sector seems poised for further expansion, given luxury consumers’ insatiable appetites for authentic experiences.
