Developed during the Design of Spaces workshop in collaboration with Moroso, Reset Pods reimagines the office break space as a wellness destination. Our Master in Interior & Living Design students Stefano Maggioni, Chang Tingwei, Kuo Chinchu and Zayar Lin Myint, identified a critical gap in workplace design: traditional office furniture prioritizes function and aesthetics over movement and recovery, contributing to sedentary habits and workplace stress.
Their solution transforms overlooked office areas into “wellness islands” – dedicated spaces where employees can truly recharge during their workday.

Reset Pods introduces a collection of sculptural, yet functional furniture pieces designed to support short restorative pauses throughout the day. Unlike traditional office seating that encourages static postures, these pods feature organic, posture-shifting forms that invite users to recline, stretch, and rest dynamically.
The design creates what the team calls a “shared wellness lounge”—a flexible space that blurs the boundaries between hospitality and office environments. Each pod encourages gentle movement, mindful breathing, and proper spinal alignment, supporting micro-habits that connect physical wellbeing with mental relaxation and social engagement.
Key Features
Crafted with soft, tactile materials combining flexible fabrics and resilient structures, the pods accommodate different body types and postures. Strategically designed for transitional zones—hallways, coffee areas, corners near pillars—they turn underutilised spaces into micro-sanctuaries for recovery, encouraging spontaneous use throughout the workday.
Impact and Future Applications
Reset Pods demonstrates how thoughtful design can promote holistic wellness by merging ergonomic intelligence with emotional comfort and social inclusivity. While developed for corporate settings, the adaptable design holds potential for hospitality, education, and healthcare sectors—any environment where recovery breaks enhance concentration and wellbeing.
This project showcases our students’ ability to address real-world challenges through human-centred design, partnering with industry leaders like Moroso to create innovative solutions for contemporary living and working spaces
