We are happy to share that our Alumni Frédéric Gooris and Paulina Chu won the prestigious iF Design Award, for the project BLAST UV™ Disinfector, made for the brand they have founded together, Bombol.
Paulina and Frédéric met at Domus Academy in 1999, where they attended respectively the Master in Fashion Design and the Master in Product Design. Then in 2008, they founded Bombol, a brand committed to reinvent all the unhelpful plastic that weighs young families down and, freeing up grown-ups to be the sparky sources of fun all kids deserve. Frédéric Gooris runs also its own design studio, Studio Gooris, in charge of the design project of BLAST UV™ Disinfector.
Blast UV™ is a portable yet powerful UV-C disinfector, up to 100,000 times more efficient than a regular 99.9% UV-C sanitizer or wet wipes. It is made of 3 gold-plated sapphire LEDs and ultra-reflective lining. In addition, Blast UV™ folds to the size of a wallet, yet it fits big objects.
