Domus Academy collaborates with Khronos Group with two lectures for the Experience Design workshop with Nathaniel Hunter, COO and co-founder of DreamView (January 21st) and Shrenik Sadalgi, Director of R&D, Wayfair and Khronos 3D Commerce Chair (January25th).
They will discuss the evolution of 3D & AR in retail. From the early inspirations and experiments on how they got started, tools & processes to help you experiment, challenges they face, and lastly to discuss where the industry is headed.
Nathaniel Hunter has held pivotal roles at the forefront of computer-generated imagery development for almost 3 decades. He has been on the bleeding edge of digital hardware and software, creating augmented and virtual content that blend years of visual and technical artistry into entertaining multi-national brand experiences with Ford, McDonalds, Comcast, FOX, Disney and many more. Nathaniel is part of the team creating a platform and service solution that fulfills the production, marketing and distribution needs of suppliers, manufacturers and retailers that sell through eCommerce sites worldwide.
Shrenik Sadalgi is an ideator, a futurist, and a technologist. As head of Wayfair Next, he leads the exploration of far-future R&D for Wayfair where he’s pioneering the future of retail and home by leveraging emerging technologies. Shrenik also serves as Chairman of the Khronos 3D Commerce Working Group, a group of leading retail and technology companies exploring the opportunity to accelerate the adoption of 3D experiences by establishing a set of universal standards for platform-agnostic 3D model creation and distribution.
Students analysed the impact of humans on nature and then realised a roaming space where all data collected.
