Leading Women in Fashion Media Speak @Domus Academy
During Milan Fashion Week 2018, Domus Academy is pleased to host talks by two leading women in the international fashion media scene: Jessica Michault and Jenny Walton.
On February 20, Jessica Michault will be interviewed by Anna Lottersberger, head of Domus Academy’s Fashion Design cluster, to discuss her role as “today’s fashion reporter.” The talk is open to all students. Jessica is listed in the BoF 500, a professional index of the people shaping the fashion industry, hand-selected by the editors of The Business of Fashion. She worked for 16 years with Susy Menkes as a fashion editor for The International Herald Tribune. She has served as a contributor for The New York Times and Vogue Japan; as the editor-in-chief of NOWFASHION (the very first online magazine sharing shows and news in real time); and as the editor-in-chief of Antidote. Jessica is now senior vice president of GPS Radar by Launchmetrics and editor-at-large of ODDA, a bi-annual collectible fashion magazine.
Details: 20 Feb 2018 | Room DA 11 | 5–7 p.m.
On February 21, we will host an exceptional “illustration workout” with Jenny Walton within the Fashion Identity workshop, open to 20 students only.
Jenny Walton is the creative director of the essential fashion blog The Sartorialist and a remarkable fashion illustrator. She will show images from her eclectic work and career.
Jenny will also provide a one-to-one portfolio review for students, focusing on the expressive language of sketching and image creation.
Due to this pandemic, Luliang Chen chose the photographer as the user of his project. Photographers need to frequently work outdoor, therefore functions and lifestyles need to change accordingly.
