Follow their path, just be the next
Are you willing to become a renowned designer and develop a successful professional path in this field? We are here to give you the tools to reach your goals just as we did with Marco Susani and Defne Koz.
Our alumni Defne Koz and Marco Susani are one of the winners of the Compasso d’Oro 2020, one of the most prestigious awards in the design world.
They won the prize under their brand Koz Susani Design with the project Enel X Juicepole, a charging station for electric vehicles. The product introduces a useful and innovative example of electric recharging into the everyday life of the urban landscape. Both graduated at Domus Academy in the Master’s in Product Design, they began their career working at Ettore Sottssas in Milan.
Defne Koz’s idea of design is influenced by the combination of her Turkish and Italian culture, and by her curiosity for very different product types. Her interests span from humanizing new technologies to rediscovering the tradition of hand-made ceramics. Common to all her projects are her distinctive design language and the research on the sensorial qualities of materials.
In the studio Koz Susani Design, Susani is responsible for experience design, interaction design, and strategic design. He has won many prestigious awards and his works and interviews have been featured in international magazines. He is a professor of industrial design and design innovation at the University of Illinois.
Due to this pandemic, Luliang Chen chose the photographer as the user of his project. Photographers need to frequently work outdoor, therefore functions and lifestyles need to change accordingly.
