DESIGN-MARATHON #5, REEBOK SPECIAL EDITION
The Design-Marathon, a full-immersion design formula a resistance test full of creativity, will rise again in Domus Academy during the weekend 2018, November 24th – 25th: the Design-Marathon #5 Special Edition, in collaboration with Reebok.
108 international students attending the all the Domus Academy Master courses sent their application to take part in the event and only 50 will have the opportunity to live the event and to breath this special moment.
Objectives: Students divided into working teams will be asked to design new sport-style scenarios and new concepts for shoes and apparel for Reebok in 2030. The teamwork is crucial, there are no pre-defined hierarchies. Students must integrate thoughts and ideas in a multidisciplinary way, immersing themselves in the reality of a real company. Each Design-Marathon team has to deliver a digital presentation of their concept, vision and project, in only 48 hours.
Starting from the study of a particular case in the history of Reebok, students are asked to envision new proposals. They will be driven by the competences of the Domus Academy Faculty team, with the exceptional participation of 2 Mentors with experience as footwear and accessories designer, Emy Kurebayashi and Ryang Lee. Reebok company will be present all along the work session’s development with the representatives coming expressly from the Boston headquarter. On Sunday evening, students will present their proposals to all the participants, in front of a jury and only 3 teams of students will be awarded by Reebok company representatives.
Good luck to all the students!
