Alumna Shows Bag Design at Milano Moda Donna
During Milano Moda Donna fall/winter 2016–2017, Domus Academy alumna Hsin-Bey Lee will exhibit her bag “Memory Addict,” which won the Milano Moda Graduate contest.
Memory Addict evokes a sense of nostalgia, showing the sentimental value the user has for the object, which changes through time. The bag’s design is made from one whole piece of leather, thus creating capacity through molding without showing cutting lines. It is made from organic materials of tanned leather and wood, and the pattern is inspired by old iron window frames.
Hsin-Bey’s Memory Addict, along with the other projects that won the Milano Moda Graduate contest, will be shown at the UniCredit Pavilion, alongside products by the Los Angeles–based brand Linea Pelle.
The UniCredit Pavilion will host the Fashion Hub Market, a new project of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (sponsor of Milano Moda Graduate) that supports new brands by giving them an opportunity for visibility, networking, and business.
Due to this pandemic, Luliang Chen chose the photographer as the user of his project. Photographers need to frequently work outdoor, therefore functions and lifestyles need to change accordingly.
