Step into the heart of creativity with Milan Design Lab. Over two full weeks, you’ll dive deep into design thinking, hands on prototyping, and idea development — all set in Milan, a global hub of innovation, craftsmanship, and style. Explore iconic design museums, walk through inspiring design districts, and work side by side with Domus Academy’s expert faculty and mentors. By the end, you’ll have your own concept design project ready to showcase — discover what it means to design for people, places, and possibilities.

An introduction to the world of design thinking and creative problem-solving, guiding students through observation, ideation, and prototyping. Students will work on a mini design project that reflect their personal vision and the cultural inspiration of Milan.

 

THE COURSE

The summer course Milano Design Lab is made up of 51 contact hours.

Dates: from 6th to 16th July 2026
Hours: from 10 am to 1 pm & from 2 pm to 5 pm

Week 1: Monday to Friday (Friday afternoon free)
Week 2: Monday to Thursday

WHO SHOULD APPLY

The summer course is addressed to high school and beginner level students from around the world who are willing to join an immersive, hands-on summer course, held in the heart of Italy’s creative capital.

Through interactive lectures, creative workshops, and exclusive field trips, students will explore their creative potential, experience life on campus, and discover Milan’s vibrant design and fashion scene.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Dive into the world of design through observation, ideation, and prototyping. Students will develop a mini design project inspired by Milan’s culture and their personal vision. At the completion of the course, they will gain a Certificate of Participation.

FEE

The fee includes: class work, lectures and guided visits included in the programme. The fee does not include: travel expenses, accommodation, local transportation and meals.

GUARDIANSHIP SERVICES
