Originally from Osaka, Fukusada is known for his ability to combine traditional Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary European aesthetics. After graduating in 2002, he began his career at Sharp Corporation, designing consumer electronics. In 2007, he moved to Italy to pursue a Master in Interior & Living Design at Domus Academy, where he worked under the mentorship of Patricia Urquiola, collaborating on projects with top-tier Italian manufacturers.

In 2012, he founded FUKUSADA STUDIO in Kyoto. Since then, he has collaborated with both domestic brands — including Ceramic Japan, KOTOBUKI SEATING, Lemnos, and Masterwal — and international names such as Axolight, Bonaldo, FIAM Italia, Please Wait to be Seated, and HAY. His versatile designs, ranging from furniture to home accessories, have earned prestigious accolades like the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award and the iF Design Award.

The talk will be held at 5.30 pm CEST on May 7th, 2025.
