Domus Academy Fashion Cluster presents a series of lectures reserved to the students of the Masters in Fashion Design, Fashion Styling & Visual Merchandising and Fashion Management.

Among the guest renowned names of the field of art, set design and information technologies.

On Tuesday, October 2nd Domus Academy will host Felice Limosani, a creative multi-disciplinarian and new media artist. His guiding light being a desire to break down the boundaries between fine art, design, technology, culture, experience and pure enjoyment. His work ranges from art installations to staged immersive environments and experiential curatorial work. During the lecture will talk about brand storytelling. The new way of communicating to engage consumers and convey the values of a company through stories, images and videos that are emotionally involving. The consumer is no longer content with a good story, he wants the truth and it is here that the storyteller comes into play, the one who through the words succeeds in involving those who read it and leads him to a particular product because only that product arouses in him real emotions.

On Monday, October the 8th the Fashion Cluster guest will be Leila Fteita, scenographer and costume designer at Teatro alla Scala, creator of the scenes for the ongoing opera “Alibabà e i Quaranta Ladroni” at Teatro alla Scala. Part of Retail and Visual Merchandising workshop, the lecture will focus on the development of a set design starting from the concept. Leila Fteita will also guide the students through a special tour of the Laboratori Atelier Ansaldo, the Teatro alla Scala laboratories, which host the majority of artisan departments and productions, such as set design, tailoring, sculpture and carpentry, the trial sale for the choir and a stage for rehearsals, and which also hold over 60,000 stage costumes.

On Monday, October 17th will be the turn of an international guest, Craig Crawford, IT strategist who worked among others for Burberry, Tory Burch, Liz Claiborne, GAP. Part of the Fashion Buying workshop, the lecture will focus on the convergence of experience design and technology. Craig will share his experience starting from the creation of the digital strategy for Burberry. He will discuss how retailing is today in trouble and how digital tools can help solve supply chain inventory problems.
