Domus Academy will host Maria Porro, President of Salone del Mobile.Milano and Head of Marketing and communication at Porro S.p.A, during the next Disrupting Patterns Talk on 6th March 2024.
Maria Porro will share her experience in leading the family company as well as being President of Salone del Mobile.Milano. The talk will be moderated by Elena Sisti, Independent Consultant.
Maria has been involved in the realms of theatre, art, and major events, serving as a designer, coordinator, and curator. Since 2014, she has been a permanent member of Porro S.p.A, concentrating on strengthening the international commercial network and revitalizing communication strategies. In 2017, she also assumed a position on the Board of Directors of Altagamma, a foundation uniting outstanding companies in the Italian cultural and creative industry. Since 2020, Maria holds the distinction of being the first female president of Assarredo.
As the President of Salone del Mobile.Milano, she played a key role in organizing Supersalone, a special format with a focus on design, sustainability, and creative encounters and she is the passionate promoter of the evolution of the Exhibition, leading to the re-design of the format and the paths of the event
