Frédéric Gooris, in conversation with Francesca Vargiu, Head of Architecture and Interior Design, will discuss his journey from the beginning to his latest achievements.
Frédéric Gooris, an industrial design entrepreneur, earned his Master’s in Design from Domus Academy in 1999. With engineering training in Belgium, design mentorship under Philippe Starck in France and Stefano Giovannoni in Italy, and entrepreneurial experience in Hong Kong, Gooris combines narratives, innovation, and practical entrepreneurship to create iconic products for clients such as Alessi, China Southern Airlines, Ice Watch, Ferrero, Minotti Cucine, Seiko, Rollogo, DeSter, Gategroup, and Qantas, among others. His portfolio spans various categories, including household goods, fashion accessories, office furniture, cosmetics, lighting, audio, travel and sports goods, aviation, personal care, and baby products. Gooris holds numerous invention patents and has received international awards for his work. Beyond his creative pursuits, he is a co-founder of Bombol, a company known for innovative baby furniture, and a co-founder of Crisp Vision Company.
