We’re proud to share that Yoana Biserova Doneva, student of the 2-Year Master in Fashion: Design, Art & Technology at Domus Academy, has been selected to exhibit her project “Discardia” at The Gallery, the artistic experimentation space of Packaging Première & PCD Milan 2025, taking place from May 21 to 23, 2025, at Allianz MiCo, Milan.
Yoana’s “Discardia” reimagines packaging as a transformative art form. The project explores the poetic and conceptual potential of discarded materials, particularly cardboard and paper, to address pressing themes such as overconsumption, environmental impact, and the human experience in urban settings. These figures serve as a commentary on how we package and present ourselves in contemporary society. Through “Discardia,” Yoana turns the mundane into the meaningful, encouraging viewers to reconsider waste as a resource and packaging as a metaphor for transformation.

In Yoana’s artworks, artificial intelligence becomes a new tool at the service of human inspiration and has been selected for the ability to reflect a new methodological approach that goes beyond conventional AI applications in art and design.
Recognised as the must-attend trade show for packaging professionals across Europe, Packaging Première & PCD Milan brings together the most innovative voices in packaging, design, and creativity. This year curatorial direction is led by Gabriele Moschin, Domus Academy professor, and Andrea Filippi, who envision the fair as a journey where Artificial Intelligence meets human creativity, giving rise to a new form of augmented imagination.
Yoana’s involvement in the event highlights the interdisciplinary and forward-thinking approach of Domus Academy’s 2-Year Master in Fashion: Design, Art & Technology, where students are encouraged to experiment, innovate, and shape the design world of tomorrow.
