What kind of accommodation options do Domus Academy housing partners offer?
The housing providers offer a variety of accommodation types — including single rooms, double rooms in shared apartments (up to 4 students), private studio or 1-bedroom flats, and student-residences, depending on our budget and living preferences. Some providers offer amenities such as 24-hour front desk and security, common spaces (lounges, study rooms), fitness facilities (gyms, pools, yoga studios), entertainment spaces (cinema rooms, game areas), laundry facilities, bike storage, and some locations also offer cafeterias, common kitchens, terraces, garden courtyards, and additional services tailored to students and young professionals in Milan.

Can I book accommodation online before arriving in Milan?

Yes, several partners offer online booking services. Spotahome provides a 100% digital booking process with personalized multilingual assistance. Dotstay offers a personal relocation assistant (called an “Angel”) who helps with the entire process from house selection to moving in and can arrange additional services like airport pick-up and local SIM cards. To protect yourself from scams, use only trusted services and never send money in advance if asked to secure or hold an accommodation.

How do the rental contract and formalities are handled?
Domus Academy provides you with contact information for their housing partners, who will handle the actual rental contract, formal agreement and all the other bureaucratic aspects directly or through the landlords.

What’s a realistic monthly rent I should expect?

The average rent for students varies greatly depending on several factors (type of accommodation, city areas, services included). If you choose a shared apartment (a room in a shared flat) through budget or student-housing solutions, many students manage to keep their expenses relatively low. On the other hand, for a studio or private apartment in Milan, the cost is higher — often €800–1,200 per month, depending on the area and the type of living solution. The suggestion when looking for an accommodation is to aim for a good balance between cost, type of housing, and location.
