Unleash your inner designer in Milan Fashion Lab, a high energy two week exploration of fashion concept, style, and visual storytelling against Milan’s unmatched backdrop of couture, ateliers, and trendsetting streets. From moodboards to sketches, fabric sampling to styling, this course gives you real tools and inspiration. Visit flagship stores, museums dedicated to fashion & textiles, and immerse yourself in the City of Fashion itself. Finish with your own fashion concept, illustrated and presented — and leave Milan inspired, portfolio ready, and confident in your creative voice.
A hands-on exploration of fashion design, from moodboards to sketching and basic styling. Students will build their own concept inspired by Milan’s fashion culture and present it through visuals and storytelling.

The summer course Milano Fashion Lab is made up of 51 contact hours.

The summer course is addressed to high school and beginner level students from around the world who are willing to join an immersive, hands-on summer course in Fashion, held in the heart of Italy’s creative capital.
Through interactive lectures, creative workshops, and exclusive field trips, students will explore their creative potential, experience life on campus, and discover Milan’s vibrant fashion scene.
Dive into the world of design through observation, ideation, and prototyping. Students will develop their own concept inspired by Milan’s fashion culture and present it through visuals and storytelling. At the completion of the course, they will gain a Certificate of Participation.

The Milan Fashion Lab is open to students from all over the world, whether in high school or at the beginning of their university studies. No specific fashion design background is required: the course is addressed to those who wish to explore their creative potential, experience Domus Academy campus life, and be inspired by Milan’s fashion culture.
Milan Fashion Lab includes classroom activities, lectures, and guided tours of iconic flagship stores and museums dedicated to fashion & textiles across the city of Milan, such as Quadrilatero della Moda, Armani/Silos, and Fondazione Prada. It is taught entirely in English.
Students will have the chance to explore the fundamentals of fashion illustration, fabric sampling, styling and visual storytelling and, by the end of the course, will develop a fashion concept inspired by the city of Milan. Upon completion of the course, an official Certificate of Participation will be issued.
