The Semester Course in Visual Brand Design that will lead you to join selected theoretical courses with professionals, active learning sessions and workshops working in international and cross disciplinary teams and taking advantage of many networking occasions.
After successfully completing the Semester Course, eligible students will be recognised 24 CFA/ECTS and will obtain a Certificate of Completion.
The 24 CFA/ECTS credits will be delivered upon successful completion of the course to students enrolled in the accredited path only; they will be used in case of progression to a Master’s Programme inside Domus Academy and might be validated at the option of the chosen University of reference in case of a transfer’s request to a postgraduate programme.
Participants are expected to have a first level academic degree or a previous professional experience in the related field of study.
IELTS 5.0 certificate or equivalent is required.
All courses are taught in English. A high level of proficiency in the English language is required.
The Semester Course structure is organized in two modules.
Each module includes one theoretical course and one workshop in the specific area of interest.
STORYTELLING & VISUAL NARRATIVES
The course provides an intensive exploration of visual and structural elements of storytelling and visual narratives where students engage with the necessary tools to design a user experience and to create user scenarios and storyboards.
VISUAL CULTURES
Visual Cultures explores the fundamentals of visual culture through testimonials and design scenarios. The course offers a deeper understanding of the graphic design process through the management of visual elements. Students will be able to design visual layouts and manage, at advanced level, elements such as text and image.
PRODUCT STRATEGY
The Product Strategy workshop aims to develop project proposals able to combine different approaches in a new, innovative and surprising way.
IDENTITY DESIGN
The Identity Design workshop aims at developing the skills for designing the brand identity of a company,extend a
pre-existent one and/or planning a promotional strategy.

Designer and strategist with a diverse background spanning teaching, academic research, and agency projects. Passionate about the design process, she excels in problem-solving, problem-setting, and creating compelling visuals.
As a transdisciplinary designer, she leverages tools from communication, service, to business design. She enjoys building bridges between disciplines and interpreting various design languages.
In 2013, she received a Ph.D. cum Laude from the School of Design at Politecnico di Milano. During her Ph.D., she worked at the MobileLife Research Centre (Stockholm University) on service and interaction design devices, and at the metaLABab at Harvard University in the field of digital humanities.
For over eight years, she collaborated with the master’s degree course in Communication Design at Politecnico di Milano, specializing in designing transmedia systems and experiences to engage users and enhance cultural heritage. She works at Domus Academy as Course Leader since 2016 in the branding and business areas. She also curates and organizes talks and studio events with designers and artists.

Yes. The 24 ECTS credits awarded upon completion of the course may grant access to the Level I Master’s Programme in Visual Brand Design at Domus Academy.
