This is what it means to “learn by designing,” a revolutionary approach that Domus Academy has cultivated over decades of partnering with some of the most important brands in design, fashion, business, and architecture.
To date, our students have worked with more than 250 companies, making industry connections that have helped launch their design careers. This is one reason why 92% of our graduates are working one year after graduation, according to a survey conducted by the third-party research firm Ipsos Observer.
Hands-on Workshops with Brands
In each four- to five-week workshop, you can work on a real-life brief presented by a leading brand, studio, or consultancy. Each workshop includes:
- The launch. A company representative or Domus Academy project leader launches a creative brief about a real design or fashion challenge.
- The intermediate review. Company/design studio representatives review your project halfway through the session and offer guidance on your approach.
- The final presentation. At the conclusion of your project, you present your project to faculty and to company/design studio representatives and get feedback on your ideas and performance.
Companies that have participated in workshops with our students include:
3M, 7 For All Mankind, 10 Corso Como, Adidas, Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Alessi, Alfa Romeo, Artemide, Astoria, Audi, Ballin, Barilla, Bayer, B&B Italia, Boffi, Bonaveri Manichini, Camera Buyer, Canon, Cartier, Club Med, Coccinelle, Condé Nast, Costume National, Danone, Electrolux, Ferragamo, Fiat, Flos, Frankie Morello, Fujitsu, Gufram, Helena Rubinstein (L’Oréal), Leroy Merlin, LG, Mattel, Marni, Moncler, Moroso, Motorola, Neil Barrett, Nokia, Park Hyatt Milano, Patrizia Pepe, Perugina (Nestle), Pininfarina, Pomellato–Dodo, Pommery, Red Valentino, Rilastil, Roberto Cavalli, Samsung, Slowear, Stone Island, Swarovski, Thai Silk, The Coca-Cola Company, Tod’s, Trussardi, Tucano, Veneta Cucine, Versace, Veuve Cliquot, Volkswagen, Wega.
