Komorebi: from concept to creation
Created during a curricular workshop with Desiree, involving students from the Master in Product Design and Master in Visual Brand Design, Komorebi was designed by Taylor Kulczycki, Melisa Ozkok, Berra Bayraktar and Yu Chiao Wang. The project explores the relationship between nature and design: inspired by sunlight filtering through tree leaves, its open structure creates a welcoming shelter that plays with light and shadow. Desiree selected the students’ concept for prototyping, bringing their creative vision to life.
Connecting learning with industry
Curricular workshops with industry partners are an integral part of the student journey at Domus Academy. They offer valuable opportunities to build professional connections, respond to real briefs and experience how companies work, helping students take their first steps into professional practice.
Students develop design concepts through hands-on curricular workshops with industry partners, gaining experience in responding to company briefs and turning creative ideas into practical design proposals.
These curricular workshops give students opportunities to respond to real briefs, connect with professionals and experience industry ways of working, helping them prepare for professional practice.
The curricular workshop with Desiree brought together students from the Master in Product Design and Master in Visual Brand Design, combining furniture design with visual storytelling.
