Domus Academy pays tribute to Ampelio Bucci, educator, visionary, and one of the leading figures in the school’s history. He was part of the original team that designed the Master in Fashion Design together with Gianfranco Ferré, contributing to the development of one of the Academy’s most distinctive and pioneering programmes. Over the years, Bucci also served as Vice President of Domus Academy, and later became Director of the Design Direction division.

Reflecting on his years at Domus Academy, he once recalled: “It was a school where we held lessons without having the answers, lessons in doubts. And yet, inexplicably, the solutions emerged directly from the students, anticipating directions that today are reality.”
