Students Design Movable Archives for Olivetti

Domus Academy, Associazione Archivio Storico Olivetti, and Co.Ideas together launched an educational workshop for Domus Academy’s Master in Interior and Living Design students, along with other young designers from all over the world. Students were asked to design movable installations that provide access to the archives within Olivetti’s Ivrea factory complex.
Using these archives as a basis for research, analysis, and experimentation, students highlighted the company’s heritage while considering both the educational content and the aesthetic aspects of their projects.
The students submitted seven proposals with drawings, graphics, and renderings in which technology and social values, humanities and design, culture and interaction, intertwine to provide solutions for an alternative vision of the future.

Wanderlust
Due to this pandemic, Luliang Chen chose the photographer as the user of his project. Photographers need to frequently work outdoor, therefore functions and lifestyles need to change accordingly.
