Alumnus Designs Audio Device with Tao Design & Tao Tec, China

Miguel Silva, alumnus of Domus Academy’s Master in Product Design program, is currently working in Hangzhou, China, where he is collaborating with the industrial design company Tao Design & Tao Tec. Here, together with his team, he developed HeartBeat, a portable audio device that seeks to engage people on an emotional level.
HeartBeat is composed of two speakers, each shaped like half of a heart. When the two halves are joined and play together, connected to a smart device by Bluetooth, they illuminate with a heartbeat rhythm, as if they are “kissing.” The device can also be configured as a pill shape, thanks to powerful magnets that hold the speakers together.
A product of the company MÜAH, HeartBeat creates a unique user experience, enhancing the relationship between music and emotions.
