Alum Speaks at World Design Summit
Luis Angarita, alumnus of Domus Academy’s Master in Design, ’98, will speak at the World Design Summit, to be held in Montreal, Canada, October 16–25, 2017. Luis will present the findings of his four-year research project on the design of spaces for innovation. Currently based in Toronto, he leads the innovation consulting firm CD&I Associates.
Luis focuses on leading innovation teams and projects, mixing product and business design with strategy, design thinking, branding, architecture, and innovation. His projects range from making massive plastic injected products and crafts with Amazonian indigenous communities, to high-end product designs, marketing strategies, services, innovative brands, spaces, and experiences. Also a professor, he has created and managed innovation programs for various universities in Latin America.
He has won the Red Dot Design Award, the Steel Pencil Award, and the Arts-Business Personality Award of Montreal, among others.
Due to this pandemic, Luliang Chen chose the photographer as the user of his project. Photographers need to frequently work outdoor, therefore functions and lifestyles need to change accordingly.
