Domus Academy partners with some of the world’s most prestigious brands to create projects that benefit both the companies and our students. Find out how your company can participate.
When your company collaborates with Domus Academy, it gains access to a vast reserve of student talent and innovation. Our students are trained in design thinking, research strategies, and practical tools and techniques. Working on actual company projects, they “learn by designing.” They bring fresh ideas on how to research and address each design problem. For companies, working together with our students is an excellent way to gain new points of view and to cultivate talent for future internships and jobs.
Domus is one of the top-ranked design schools in the world, enrolling more than 400 new students per year. Our student body is 94% international, with 45 nationalities represented—so our student teams bring a multicultural perspective on design and fashion.
Our Academic Master’s degrees are accredited by MIUR (the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research) through our sister school NABA.
What They Are
Workshops are a core element of each master’s course. For periods of four to five weeks, students and faculty collaborate with companies on real projects, working in teams to respond to actual creative briefs with innovative solutions.
Benefits for the Company
How They Work
A company representative explains the company’s needs and project ideas to our Industry Relations staff members, who find the most suitable course and/or group of students to work on the project. After the project is launched, company representatives can supervise the students’ work to ensure that results are in line with their needs.
What They Are
Design Marathons are an immersive competition where students are challenged to transform a company idea into a powerful and actionable concept in less than 48 hours. Guided by faculty mentors and tutors, students work intensively in teams to respond to the company brief.
Benefits for the Company
Our master’s courses each include a professional experience module, in which students can choose to intern at a company site to work on projects and apply skills and strategies learned during the course.
Benefits for the Company
Our Career Nights are recruiting sessions where company representatives can hunt for talent, interview students, and conduct portfolio reviews. Company partners also have free access to DarwinSquare, an online database where companies advertise internships and jobs and students share their CVs and portfolio images.
Benefits for the Company
Domus Academy’s Professional Development Programs are tailor-made courses for professionals who are interested in learning design thinking or wish to focus on design topics relevant to their company. Participants learn new strategies and skills they can apply to solving design and business challenges.
We have created customized courses for groups such as members of the Chinese Designers Association CDBA, amongst others.
