We are excited to share that Crafting Inclusive Futures, a project developed by Domus Academy students – Catherine Cable, Sarah Abdel Jalil, Tina Jain, Sevval Ozdogan, and Sanjoli Gupta – has been selected for the Gwangju Design Biennale 2025, one of the world’s most renowned events in contemporary art and design. The exhibition will take place in South Korea from August 30th to November 2nd.
The project, which aims to raise awareness about inclusive design, will be featured in a dedicated exhibition space complete with explanatory content and video materials.
Crafting Inclusive Futures was developed during the New Product Strategies workshop, held in collaboration with Fondazione TOG – a Milan-based non-profit organisation that provides free specialised care to children and young people with severe neurological conditions.

Crafting Inclusive Futures was developed during the New Product Strategies workshop, held in collaboration with Fondazione TOG – a Milan-based non-profit organisation that provides free specialised care to children and young people with severe neurological conditions.
During the workshop, students from the Master’s programmes in Visual Brand Design, Business Design and Product design were invited to explore how innovation can emerge from the intersection of disciplines – beyond product design – to include communication, brand strategy, and distribution. The brief challenged them to reimagine TOG’s FabLab as an open and inclusive space for the wider community, while designing a sustainable model aligned with the foundation’s values. Crafting Inclusive Futures is presented as an educational programme promoting inclusion and disability awareness among children, students, and families. Through hands-on experiences, participants design and create assistive technologies for children with disabilities, encouraging a vision of inclusion as a natural and essential part of daily life.
Congratulations to our students and to Fondazione TOG for their valuable collaboration. This achievement reflects Domus Academy’s commitment to exploring the social potential of design and nurturing creative minds capable of imagining a more inclusive future.
