Reid Baker and Ines Amorim

Bio
Born respectively in U.S.A and Portugal, Reid Baker and Inês Amorim earned their Master’s in Fashion Design at Domus Academy in 2014.
In 2017 they founded the label Ernest W. Baker, named after Reid Baker’s grandfather Ernest, an early Detroit man working in advertisement. With a sense of nostalgia, an intention was made to reinterpret classic garments that feel as if they were taken from Ernest’s closet. The collections blend their cultural influences between European elegance and an American rawness and were recently shortlisted for the 2018 edition LVMH prize.
Before creating their own brand, Reid Baker and Inês Amorim had shared experiences working for designers such as Haider Ackermann, Yang Li and Wooyoungmi.
Their Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer 2019/20 collections have been featured on the Vogue.it talents section. Find out more>
