A licensed architect in the Philippines, Catherine Calolot earned her Master in Urban Vision and Architectural Design at Domus Academy in 2016. She is currently working as an architect at the Barreca e La Varra architecture studio in Milan, which designs office, hospitality, and residential buildings.
Before coming to Milan, Catherine worked in her hometown of Davao City as a construction manager, junior project manager, junior architect, and senior architect/consultant for various firms. She also worked in the office of Isidro Ungab, a Filipino congressman, as a political affairs assistant and design consultant for vertical and horizontal infrastructures for Davao City’s third congressional district.
Her interests include travel, running, music, and rowing dragon boats.
“Earning my master’s at Domus Academy was a turning point in my career. I have a more international mindset now, not only in architecture but in all fields of design.”
