Director of MA in Interaction Design
Born in 1965, interaction designer, he is director of the Master Programme in Interaction Design at Domus Academy. For 1995 to 2009 he is member of the research staff at DA Research and since 2000 responsible of the interaction and media design research activity. His main research interests range from the introduction of Information and Communication Technology (ITC) in the everyday environment, to its potentiality in supporting the qualities of the social relations, to the multisensorial aspects of new technologies, with a focus on interactive mixed reality environments.
He has worked in the last years in research projects on interaction design and multimedia, developing concepts related to telecommunication, media spaces and graphical interfaces. Among his recent works and participations: member of the research project "The Computer Supported Design of Artefacts and Spaces" (DESARTE - Esprit Program 1996/1997), and project leader for Domus Academy in the European research projects "Living Memory" (LIME - Icubed Program 1997/2000), "Pogo" (POGO - Icubed Program 1998/2001) and MILK (MILK IST Program 2001/2003).
He was professor for the Course of New Media Theories and Technics (1999/2000) at the Faculty of Communication Science of the University of Siena and professor for the Course in Industrial Design for the Visual Communication at the Faculty of Industrial Design of the Politecnico di Milano (2001/2002).
He lectured at Domus Academy, the Politecnico of Milano, Royal College of Art, University of Siena and University Milano Bicocca focusing on interaction design in enhanced media, art installations and network environments.
