Creative Summer Courses spanning the two great design capitals of the world.
London and Milan are synonymous with great art and design.
When people talk of cities that have generated the most famous creative
people and most innovative work you can be sure that London and Milan
appear at the top of the list. Both
cities have some of the best fashion, art and retail experiences,
exceptional interiors and architecture, graphic and product design
studios, and headquarters of some of the top design companies.
Between 5th July and 30th July 2010 you can make the most of both cities
by enrolling in a unique two or four week course in either fashion,
graphics, interiors, event or product design. If you are a beginner and
wish to build a portfolio or an experienced student who wishes to build
upon existing skills there will be a course in our 2009 programme for
you. The
courses in each city have been designed to compliment each other, so
that by the end of your studies you will have a portfolio of new work
that represents two different approaches to teaching, along with new
friends and a new international perspective of your creative subject.
Central Saint Martins, NABA and Domus Academy have outstanding
reputations for high-quality teaching and will use the expertise of
full time staff and visiting lecturers to help you progress in your
chosen field.
Whilst you attend your courses, you will also have free time to explore
these cities and enjoy the galleries, museums, bars and theatres during
the evenings and weekends.
Advanced Courses run by DA and CSM
Advanced courses complement each other often looking at the same
branch of design from completely different angles. Suitable for
students who have completed at least two years of a degree in a related
subject or professionals working in the field who need a boost.
Students may enrol for the corresponding sessions in London and Milan
or choose just one course.
For the second year, in 2010 Domus Academy will be a partner of the Milan Summer School Project, promoted by the Municipality of Milan.
Milan Summer School aims at supporting and enhancing the network of Summer Schools in Milan, sharing, promoting and encouraging courses of excellence in a dynamic cultural context.
The Summer School will be supported by plenty of cultural, social and leisure activities in town and outside Milan, in a holistic approach of knowledge, based on intercultural exchange and integration.
