Excentric|Eccentrico

The theme of the first workshop "Excentric" has been introduced by a panel discussion with Project Leaders Stefano Cardini, Giulio Iacchetti, Niko Koronis and Giovanni Levanti; the works are being moderated by Dante Donegani and Claudio Moderini. Art critic Gabi Scardi is also participating, setting the general framework for the topic. From a design point of view the theme can be tackled both by emphasizing on the PROGRAMME - choosing to work on a design ambit that does not fall within the mainstream orbit, by identifying the characteristics associated to different ways of living, places, cultures, or special contingents - both by operating on the meaning of an AESTHETIC that will not depend on the taste of the others, but which will follow its own peculiar direction, and which will depend on personal and/or subjective motivations. A selection of the projects will be on display - April 15 to 21 at Ex-Ansaldo - within the Domus Academy stand at That’s Design!, cult event of the milanese fuorisalone.
