December 2013 – Domus Academy is proud to annouce that, from January 2014 Scott Schuman, photographer and founder of the street fashion blog The Sartorialist, will be visual mentor of the Domus Academy Fashion School.He will develop an extra-didactic project with students and he will also involve them in his team at The Sartorialist.
In his new role, Scott Schuman will be advising on topics for Master programs workshops and eventually on the choice of companies for workshop collaborations. He will develop an extra-didactic project with students and he will also have a direct relationship with students involving them in his team at The Sartorialist.
The Sartorialist blog was born with the idea of creating a two-way dialogue with its readers about the world of style and its relationship to daily life. Scott Schuman carefully observes the outfits, curious looks, as well as the unusual and the harmonics. The images posted on the blog have led to the development of an online album that has become a source of inspiration for fashion designers.
Founder/blogger/photographer Scott Schuman began The Sartorialist with the idea of creating a two-way dialogue with its readers about the world of style and its relationship to daily life.
In addition to the blog, Schuman’s work has been featured in GQ,Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris, and Interview. Schuman has appeared in national ad campaigns for The Gap and Verizon, and had personal cameos in video projects for Kia and Ford cars. Burberry tapped Schuman to shoot the groundbreaking social media-cum-advertising “Art of the Trench” project. Schuman’s work resides in permanent collections at the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography.
