NO REAL PRESENCE: Domus Academy performances continues at La Triennale
Domus Academy presents “SHARE EAT. Experiencing creative domestic spaces”, alongside the exhibition “999. Una collezione di domande sull’abitare contemporaneo”, curated by Stefano Mirti and displayed from 12th January to 2nd April at La Triennale di Milano. On the occasion, the projects of the 5 winners of the contest launched among Domus Academy students in 2017 will be brought to life thanks to 5 artistic performances.
The second performance titled NO REAL PRESENCE will take place on 4th February 2018. The performance will investigate how our everyday life is currently in a state of uncertainty, we are always more connected but at the same time lonelier. The performance will demonstrate how technology can dehumanize people, since nowadays we tend to interact with each other just through shared connections. During this performance, visitors will have the chance to experiment their own loneliness, by being connected but not really heard. In a setting where food is marginal: eating becomes a distracted gesture: solitary, simply not shared.
The Share-eat project and series of events have been curated by: Line Ulrika Christiansen, Dean of Domus Academy; Elisa Chiodo, Program Leader del Master in Visual Brand Design; Elisa Poli, Program Leader del Master in Urban Vision and Architectural Design; Amelia Valletta, Academic Project Leader and Nour Abi Saad, Design Cluster Assistant.
The performance will take place inside “999. Una collezione di domande sull’abitare contemporaneo” exhibition from 5.30pm, curated by Sara Ricciardi with Chiara Cioffi, Silvia Frassanito and Melissa Cotes Ricciulli. With the participation of Stefano Lagulli, Andrea Maffei, Francesca Siracusa and Domus Academy Share Eat students.
