Metaphysical Club. “Wading In” lecture by Leanne Shapton

On Thursday, November 5th Domus Academy students will meet Leanne Shapton: grown up in Canada and currently living in New York City, she is illustrator, author and publisher. Former art director of “The New York Times”’ Op-Ed page, Leanne Shapton is also the author of several books, that are peculiar experimentations in breaking barriers between artistic disciplines and writing.

From her first novel “Important Artifacts and Personal Property from the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, where she described a love affair in 331 lots, till the latest “Women in Clothes”, collecting hundreds of stories about how women feel with their dresses, Leanne Shapton will go through her main works, where the combination between language and visuals is constantly reinvented with an unconventional and fresh taste.
