Objectives

This course provides participants with a clear perspective on Design Thinking. It offers a solid ground to build an effective business strategy.

The starting model is the evolution of the Double Diamond Design Process developed by the Design Council in UK. It includes all key steps used by designers to turn problems into opportunities to create value using divergent and convergent thinking and putting people needs first.

Executives and Managers joining the Design Thinking programme can offer their company a competitive advantage. They are able to engage and manage designers to create to create a new product/service improving the quality of life.

Methodology

Day 1
Morning: plenary theory and practice;
Afternoon: group activity launch.

Day 2
Morning: review of group activities
Afternoon: preparation of group presentations.

Day 3
Final group plenary presentation.

Content

Phase 1: Discovery
In this preliminary phase of divergent thinking we explore the issue. The purpose is identify needs.

Phase 2: Definition
In this convergent thinking phase we focus on Discovery phase results through sense-making activities. The purpose is align needs and business to get a clear picture of the problem.

Phase 3: Product
This divergent thinking phase generates and tests creative ideas to solve the problem.

Phase 4: Delivery
This final convergent thinking phase is the final tune to the product/service. Then follows the market launch.
