Domus Academy and A2A together for the SMART CITY workshop
Domus Academy launched the new Tangible Interactions workshop in collaboration with A2A Smart City. The initiative aims to promote the best practices of the future revolving smart cities. Master in Interaction Design students will envision the cities of the future and will focus on four core areas (Citizens & Living, Circular City, Mobility and Culture & Heritage) in order to answer questions like:
· How can citizens be empowered thanks to smarter cities?
· How should public administrators use data to perform better decision-making processes and resource allocation?
· Could new technologies and information cause problems for people?
· How should new technologies be used to protect or add value to the cultural heritage of our cities and neighborhoods?
The students will have to prototype products and services to take advantage of the technology deployed by A2A Smart City. It will consist in a low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) based on the LoRaWAN™ specification. They will work with compatible Arduino boards to build their working prototypes and present their projects to the company.
