Benedetto Camerana was born in Turin. In 1991 he graduated in architecture at the Polytechnic of Turin (110/110 with honors thesis “ The Garden Residence”). In 1995 PhD in History of Architecture and Town Planning at the Department of Architecture of the Polytechnic of Turin , with a thesis entitled The design and construction of Piazza Vittorio Emanuele I to Turin from 1816 to 1836.
Since 1991 he is member of SIAT – Society of Engineers and Architects in Turin and since 1996 AIAPP – Italian Association of Landscape Architecture. Following Camerana devotes an important part of his work to research, particularly in the areas of bioclimatic architecture , the landscape , spaces for music and the corporate identity of the automakers.
Resulting collaborations with several magazines including The Ark , Octagon, The Art Newspaper , Quattroruote. In particular, from 1993 to 1997 he was Director of the magazine ” Eden. The architecture in the landscape ” ; since 2001 he is Director of the magazine ” Landscape Architecture ” ; Since 2002 collaborates with La Stampa for the themes of architecture, urbanism, landscape.
Since 2012 he is the President of the Museo dell’Automobile in Turin and he has, with his family, FCA Group’s shares.
